I don’t know if its just because I’m over tired or frustrated, but the simplest things seem to be eluding me today. I’ve been playing with CSS and getting my homework for the week done and I can’t seem to get the left border of my text box to work correctly. I was able to get it to look like I wanted it in the top tab version, but using side tabs I was unable to recreate the styling I was going for. I even tried to Google some examples on the web for help and I was unable to locate any that helped.
So I have to admit I cheated a little. I made the background the same color as my border, black. Once I did that the lack of the left border was no longer an issue. But then I noticed that when the first tab was lined up at the top that the right border of the tab made 1 pixel at the top the same color and it looked odd. I shifted the tabs down a few pixels and that resolved the issue. As a result I got a semi rounded interior border without even meaning to. At this point I have too much else to do still to continue to work on it more. I could waste thousands of hours playing with this when I have other work I need to be doing.
That or I should be sleeping. Once this semester is over I’m going to pull a Rip Van Winkle.
