Campus sustainable user’s guide

This year, the Environmental Advisory Committee took an assertive step toward promoting more responsible resource use and energy conservation on campus. A list of concrete wise-use suggestions, dubbed the “Marlboro College Sustainable User’s Guide,” was distributed to all new students during orientation, and presented to the whole community during the first Town Meeting. The guide highlights many points that would be common sense to most, such as turning off the lights when you exit a room or not leaving the window open when your heater is on, but also features more specific advice on adjusting heat controls in each building. Illustrated by talented senior Evan Lorenzen (see right), the guide will also be displayed in each dorm common area—these good ideas bear repeating!
