Here’s what to expect as the semester winds down at the library:
Regular staffing and hours are in effect through Saturday, 12/11.
Service desk, Reserve/AV room, and plan room hours through the close of dorms are:
- Sunday, 12/12: 12:30 pm -5:30 pm
- Monday, 12/13-Thursday 12/16: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Wednesday, December 15 is the final due date for all Interlibrary Loan books. It is also the final due date for all items checked out to graduating seniors. You can now easily view your library account online to see what is still checked out to you and (unless you’re graduating or withdrawing) renew anything you’d like to hold on to.
On Thursday, December 16, the library building will close and lock at 4:30 pm (just like the dorms). That is also the deadline for removing all personal belongings, checked-out books, etc. from the library building. (Before closing on Thursday, we will place a book drop outside of the doors that lead into the new wing of the library [by the librarians’ offices] for those who need to return things while the building is closed.)
On Friday, December 17, we’ll be open and staffed 8:30 – 4:30. That day, library staff will be scouring the building to clean up, pick up and check in any books that are left around, and place all personal belongings in the Lost and Found (which is in the recycling room on the middle floor, next to the elevator).
For the rest of winter break, the library will be open and staffed Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30, except for December 24 and December 27-31, when the library (and college) will be closed.
Doing research over break? You can access our online books and journals anytime, anyplace; just go through the library website and log in with your Marlboro username and password when prompted. Staff are available to answer questions over break (except 12/24-1/3); call (802) 258-9221 or email email@example.com.
We’ll be processing ILL article requests throughout break. We’ll resume requesting books via ILL on January 3.
The library building will open for the Spring semester at 12:30 pm on Sunday, January 16.
Best of luck with the rest of your work this semester (remember we’re here if you need us!); congratulations to all graduating seniors; and have a wonderful break!
