Two new database trials

For the next month, the library has two database trials available for Marlboro students, faculty and staff:

Oxford Digital Reference Shelf

A collection of electronic reference books that can be purchased as an entire collection or as individual titles.

Gale Powerspeak Languages

An online language-learning tool for Spanish, Mandarin, German and French.

Try them out and let us know what you think by emailing library@marlboro.edu.

Check out our new books on contemporary Japan

Thanks to the efforts of a number of faculty and staff, Marlboro College’s Rice-Aron Library is one of 300 North American libraries to receive a gift from the Nippon Foundation as part of their 100 Books for Understanding Contemporary Japan program. (read College press release)

The books have arrived and are now available for you to peruse and check out. They are currently arranged in a display behind the Service Desk in the library lobby. Please feel free to come behind the desk, browse them, and check out any that interest you. Those taking part in the Japan trip this summer are especially encouraged to come browse this exciting new collection!
