Plan Submission Guidelines

Plan Submission Recommendations

The written element (at a minimum) should be submitted in print and electronic form to the registrar to meet the graduation requirement. The student submits to Registrar by noon on the Thursday before the final faculty meeting: One printed copy of Plan

Suggested Standards:

  • One digital copy of Plan (Instructions)
  • White or cream paper (8 1/2″ x 11″)
  • Regular copy paper (which is acid free)
  • Title page with the following information: Title of Plan
  • Name of Student
  • Name of Sponsors
  • Month/year of graduation
  • Marlboro College, Marlboro, Vermont
  • No binders, holes or staples. Registrar will place Plan in a manila envelope once received
  • Left margin must be 1″
  • Slides, videos, CDs or other audio-visual materials should be submitted with Plan
  • Slides, videos, CDs or other audio-visual materials must have student’s name and month/year of graduation
  • Printing on only one side of paper (for reproduction clarity)
  • Pagination on bottom right or bottom center of page.

Not permitted:

  • Colored paper.

American History in Video

Alexander Street Press has released a new resource, American History in Video, and they are offering free access–with no username or password–through April 30th, 2009: http://ahivfree.alexanderstreet.com.

American History in Video features thousands of rare newsreels from 1929 through the 1960s, including the entire series of both Universal and United. Also included are historic Longine Chronoscope broadcasts and hundreds of hours of documentaries from leading producers such as The History Channel.
